The last few days have been pretty intense for me. Thank you to everyone who commented, I appreciate your thoughts.
I can't really contemplate my family anymore right now, since I will be with them shortly. Now I just have to breathe deeply and find my happy place. It's time for me to take a step back and join in all the joyous insanity of the season.
We finished the present wrapping last night,
and now all that's left are:

11 trays of cookies
10 holiday parties
9 posts to write
8 neighbors' presents
7 gin and tonics
6 teachers gifts
5 suitcases to pack
4 cats to feed
3 rooms to sweep
2 hissy fits
and a fish tank that needs to be cleaned.
